Learn where to buy solo ads and profit big with email traffic!

First, let’s get the good news out of the way. The good news should be obvious to you by now. I am of course referring to the fact that solo ads work. They really do. This is a fact. This is not opinion. In marketing survey after marketing survey, online marketing professionals consistently rank email traffic as the top converting form of online traffic. Hands down. Search engine traffic doesn’t even come close. Facebook and social media traffic is laughable compared to solo ads conversion power.

With that said, it’s too easy to get all excited about where to buy solo ads. In fact, if you don’t pay attention to the other issues regarding solo ads, you might end up wasting a lot of your hard-earned dollars on solo ad campaigns that simply fail to work the way you want them to.

The problem with solo ads

The big problem with this type of advertising is that there’s simply too many providers out there.  There is no shortage of people who would sell solo ads to you.  In fact, there are tons of professional sellers at any typical online marketing forum. If you read any kind of online marketing blog, there are sure to be solo ad vendors there. Just because they can be found everywhere doesn’t necessarily mean that the product that they are offering is any good.

In fact, the mere fact that they are everywhere, should be a red flag to you. If they are willing to cut you a deal, chances are they’re willing to cut everybody else a deal and you should be suspicious of the quality of the traffic you’d be getting from their lists. This assumes you’d be getting traffic in the first place.

The solution: get off the beaten track

The solution to the big problem of solo ad saturation is to simply get off the beaten track. What I mean by that is you need to avoid professional sellers.  Don’t go to the typical places online traffic buyers go to for email traffic.  Avoid those places like the plague.  Instead, you should go to individual bloggers that have loyal followings. These bloggers, of course, catered to your product or service’ niche. Try to strike individual deals with them.

Interestingly enough a lot of these niche blogs are very eager to cut a deal. The best part is that in most cases, their traffic is not saturated.  Indeed, a lot of them are willing to sell almost all their traffic to you because nobody else is buying. If they truly have a niche-targeted blog, you might end up striking it rich. Why? If their audience is laser-targeted and you did your niche selection research properly, your offer might get tons of clicks and conversions.

Pay per placement not per click

With all the above said, it’s really important to make sure that when you’re buying solo ads, you buy on a per-placement basis. Avoid the temptation of paying per click. This is precisely what professional sellers want you to do. They want you to pay per click because this is extremely expensive. If you think about it, you are only paying for a fraction of the clicks your ad is getting. They end up farming or banking the rest of your clicks. Of course, professional sellers will not usually entertain pay-per-placement deals. The good news is if you go off the beaten track and approach a small niche-specific bloggers directly, chances are higher you will get pay-per-placement deals.

Of course, nothing is guaranteed. Just because these smaller bloggers don’t get a lot of advertisers doesn’t necessarily mean they will welcome your offer with wide open arms. Maybe they are suspicious. Maybe they think you’re trying to scam them. Whatever the case may be, they won’t expect that these people, just because they don’t get much advertising dollars, would be desperate for your money.

Buy from small niche-specific bloggers

The reason why you should buy from small niche-specific bloggers is because they have loyal communities built around their content. Of course, you need to make sure that the blog that they’re running is still active. It doesn’t really make much sense for you to buy ad space in the email updates of a blog that is no longer being updated. Chances are the list that they have is dormant. The people there are simply wouldn’t be very responsive to email ads.

Buy from big niche-related bloggers

A good workaround is to buy a solo ad traffic from bloggers that target a niche that is somewhat related to your target niche. If you play your cards right, not only would they be able to cut you a good deal, but you can actually get the volume you’re looking for.

Buy from Kindle book authors in your niche

One often overlooked source of solo ad traffic are Kindle book authors. I really like this source because of the targeting involved. You see, when you publish a book on the Kindle platform, you are categorizing the book in a laser-target way. The only people from the Amazon platform that would view the preview version of the book are most likely interested in your book’s niche. Since an increasing number of Kindle book authors are using their book’s previews to collect emails, you can get a highly-targeted audience by simply advertising with Kindle book authors. The best part of this is that they tend to charge less money if you’re not advertising another Kindle book.

Keep the tips above in mind if you are serious about taking your solo ad results to the next level. While it is too easy to lose money with this type of traffic generation method, by following the tips above, you increase your likelihood of at least pulling a positive ROI. In fact, if you pay close attention to detail, you can make quite a bit of money off this type of traffic. You just have to be systematic and methodical about conversion rate optimization and have an overall focus as farm as sales strategy goes.
